Each year, Horrocks Engineers joins with professional organizations, industry partners, schools, and communities to celebrate Engineers Week (observed on the week of Feb. 22). Engineers Week provides an opportunity to celebrate our industry and teach others about engineering.
One way we teach about engineering is by sharing photos, facts, and anecdotes on our social media pages. If you missed our social media posts this week, you will want to visit our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts for some terrific #throwback photos showing how our industry has changed over the decades.
Many of our staff members showed their pride in engineering through social media posts. Nathan Clarke, an environmental specialist in our Pleasant Grove office, posted, “I feel proud to work for such a good company and to work on projects that help people come together, whether they are transportation, trail, or park projects.” (Search #AtHorrocks to see more of the ideas and experiences our team shared this week.)
In addition to sharing on our social media channels, we celebrated Engineers Week offline with office gatherings, engineering challenges, and Dress Like an Engineer day. Click through our Engineers Week photo gallery to see the “hydration station” in our Meridian office, a cozy team breakfast in our Riverdale office, and other festivities.
