What is Your Why? | Habib Abi-Khalil Shares His Purpose in Improving Infrastructure

Updated: Jun 9, 2023

At Horrocks, we pride ourselves on completing work that has a lasting impact on our communities. For example, Habib Abi-Khalil in our Albuquerque, New Mexico, office finds great purpose in providing services for projects that make a positive difference not only in the community, but for his family as well.

As the New Mexico State Leader and the Albuquerque Office Manager for Horrocks, Habib works to provide our clients with the best possible service to help them deliver their projects successfully. By inspiring unity among staff, resulting in a cohesive team, and developing a good understanding of what the Horrocks companywide and statewide goals are, Habib has made great strides in advancing the Horrocks brand in New Mexico.

Aside from his work, Habib enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, and taking early morning walks. As a lover of traveling, Habib hopes to visit other states around the U.S. with his wife, Heather, who is also a Horrocks employee, as well as other countries they have been wanting to explore.

Learn more about Habib’s why by viewing his interview in the video below.

Video Transcript:

My name is Habib Abi-Khalil. I work for Horrocks Engineers. I’m really proud to work at Horrocks because I know we say, “the Horrocks family,” and to me it is the Horrocks family. I’ve been here at Horrocks for about six years, and I’ve always felt like we are family here. And everybody respects everybody else, and we have great people to work with. And if I had the choice, I would not choose BUT to work for Horrocks Engineers.

I find a lot of purpose in my work. I…we make a big difference in our community. We do work that affects not only the community and the people who live in it, but it affects my family members too. And for that, I’m really proud. Any time I go down and see, hey, this is something that Horrocks designed or that Horrocks has had a part of it makes me really proud.
